Another proof of sustaining ALIguas maCOLIN Mabini battle cry is the active participation of the Roman Catholic employees of LGU Mabini in attending the initial First Friday Mass on August 5, 2016 at the 3rd Floor Municipal Hall.

Mayor Alimar R. Briana took the lead for this activity and was participated by the various departments from the department heads down to the laborers.

The mass was officiated by Sto. Nino Parish Priest Father Raymon Oligane. In his homily, Father Oligane reiterated three (3) things that everybody should possess – to love deeply, to be heroic, and to let go cheerfully.

Of the three things Father Ray Oligane mentioned, the topmost was to love deeply. He elaborated that all employees should always show love and patience to their co-workers and clients. “Kung babatuhin ka ng tinapay, batuhin mo rin ng tinapay pero huwag ilagay sa garapon,” he said smilingly.

Another was to be heroic. Learn to sacrifice for the sake of others. Mayor Ali was his example of being heroic. He said, “Kakainin mo na sana pero ibibigay mo pa sa iba.” As the father of this town, he related it to the parents who are sacrificing for the sake of their children.

Lastly, he said let go cheerfully.“Baka maraming naiinis kay Mayor dahil madaming naalis at madami din siyang binigyan ng change. Hatred from the past election should leave in the past and move forward.” he further explained.

The First Friday Masses are expected to happen every First Friday of the Month in the Municipal Hall.
